Voodoo Village
I went here yesterday. It was really creepy.
It is in a bad area of Memphis. We turned off the main road and on to small dead-end street called Mary Angela. The village is located on this road. The road is very short and creepy. Old houses falling apart on one side and brightly colored sculptures on the other. The sculptures were a mix of stars, crosses and other things to strange to describe. The entrance gate to the village was closed. They were doing something inside, I could hear a man preaching. His voice was very loud, but I could not make out what he was saying. We turned around to head back down the road and we saw a woman standing very still in a very awkward position in the middle of the road. She stood still for the entire time it took for us to leave the road. We went during the day so it wasnt as bad as the night. I would never go during the night. It was so scary!!!
...here is a link talking about it...skip to like paragraph four if you dont want to read the whole thing

I didn't take a camera, because it seems the villagers frown on people talking photos and it also seems like many people who take pictures never post them online, which i find strange in a very digital age!! Anyone want to go? I tell you directions, but I am not going back!
